Is Sania Eligible to Receive Padma ?

Congratulations to Sania Mirza for the Award. However, we at Desi Videos think she had merely been better than any other Indian girl in tennis circuit so far. She has not yet acheived pinnacle of success in tennis. She has a long way to go. Hey folks what do you say? (Please use the comments section)

  3. she shud not and she is not humble as she is proud of herself of just qualifying in the semi’s thats a part i think people will laugh… she does not hav a good playing style and a copy cat of some famous tennis player (i do nt wanna name )but she does copy it but she cant reach the level of that tennis player..she is too low profile for that and specially for that size of hers impossible..and she is forgetting her roots..

  5. she is just a kid round the block and to give her such a prestigious award without even winning a grand slam is stupidity.!!!! let someone give this news to her on my behalf.

  6. that female now-a-days is too much into other avagations rather than tennis….i guess she prefers herself to be in limelight than a successful tennis player……she is proud of herself being around star’s etc……which is utterly insae…wat do u say guys???

  7. It’s a dishonour for Padmashree award itself and others who received Padmashree! Can Sachin be compared to Sania? That is what is done by giving her Padmashree. Shame on those guys who selected her! Have some minds!

  8. She is not eligible, She is not learning anything new , She had to put efforts like taking coaching at International Tennis Academy like Bhupathi. She can afford that money now.So that she can improve her skills and put effort in Developing the game instead of ADS.
If so she can jump to modelling instead of Tennis.

  9. I agree too. It’s a shame. The board which decided to give her the award is the faulty one. They are the one who is degrading the value of the award.if someone tells me they are giving the award i will gladly accept it.

  10. i strongly oppose this. she herself might not have understood why she has been given that great honor. has she really done that good in her game. this is great disrespect to the great honor and to the people really deserve it and the people who already got it. now the people in the panel sholud understand what they are doing and think about what should be done to compensate this.
