Watch What will it be by Deeyah
Immersed in music from the age of 7, Deeyah trained in the rigorous Indian classical vocal tradition for nearly fourteen years. She gave her first televised vocal performance when she was only 8 years old. Deeyah has had the rare privilege of being the only female ever taken on as a vocal disciple by Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, who she studied under for six years, and one of the few to be trained by Ustad Sultan Khan, who remains her vocal mentor to this day.

Yes Bhargav she is a Hybrid.
Ok About song atleast she is speaking about Women freedom. If you follow the lyrics not just see the body language and dressing, you can understand that this video is about women freedom and about complete freedom.
And yes this is up to the admin’s to post or not.. But good thing is that we comment and this will make them think twice before posting.
This was a pathetic video and song by some mis-informed jackass. The only reason her song would work in the west, is because for some thats all they want to think about the sub-continent.
But shooting the video in Bombay - one of the more liberal and free cities in Asia no less, is .. insane!
The same problem with the movie - “Searching for Comedy in the Muslim World” (or something like that) - which was shot in India where the Muslim population is about 14%, and probably only half of them are really conservative.
Deeyah would not have had the guts to shoot her video in some other country in the sub-continent except India. And that’s the sad irony of her pathetic attempt really.
Well. I guess there might be people who like this misinformed crap in the guise of “music”, but real musicians aren’t stupid or gutless.
Go read a newspaper or something Deeyah!
^^ Stupid. this video is amazing, i love the message the song and Deeyah she makes me proud to be a muslim!
