Deepa Mehta should make a movie of our times, not in some 1930 s or 1950 s. Many foreigners think India is still the same way. Nobody knows Indians are much different. I wish I can find atleast one director who can portray India well.

Pls, Pls, would appreciate greatly if u could post another link since me and my mom r dying to watch this movie, have such great reviews about it. Also i do agree with Nishanth since all my friends and co-workers think that India is like how they potray it during the 1920’s and 30’s. India of Today is very different and more modern than they would ever imagine. thanks much.

May we should ask the director to adopt this widows and then help them. I guess she wouldnt even think about it. This people make movies so that they can win oscars and we indians are so stupid that we would praise people like them.

Well a great masterpiece of cinema. However,i will also go with Nishant’s views because me here watching this movie in England feel sorry about the old rituals which were been followed by those poor women(i wont call them widow)with alot of pain and hunger for love within and me seeing those eyes who make me feel that i come from a country where there r people who r blind and can do anything for thier desires. So,i request to direct a movie which shows the developed India.thank u.Hare Krishna.
