I am not sure whether the nuclear pact helped india or not does any one have any clue
    ????????????????

It certainly is a win-win situation. Now International community recognised India’s Nuclear Capability without even signing the NPT. And we separated Civilian and Military programme reactors. Fast breed reactors will not be allowed for inspection.

So Think one second. These below countries heads came to India.

    Jan 26 —start
    Saudi King Abdullah
    French President Chirac
    American President Bush
    Australia Jon Howard
    March 5th —end

Sense a change? Growing importance of India both politically and economically?

The lost temples of India clip was excellent. I like the Misc clips posted here. Would like to thank you for hosting the blog and for your keen interest in selecting very informative clips for watching.

I wanted to specially thank you for the ABC news clips which showed India in new light. When I first came to US eight years ago India was in the news for all the wrong reasons - train accidents, boat mishaps, floods earthquakes and communal violence.

For sometime however things have started changing. While Indians have been successful in the US for quite sometime the perceptions of the west about India did not change. The successful people only represented the cream of India and not the real India. With more and more people arriving and succeeding here things started changing.

Anyway I visit this blog daily and always find something to watch. Thanks for that.

These vidoes just focus on how indian knowledge base can be used to benefit the US coporate and US people. How US corporate benefit from out sourcing through cutting on the labour cost and investing in R/D and other innovative solutions which make them more competitive in the global arena. There objective is global dominance through economic success of their Corporate in every field so that they can out play other companies in different nations. Count the number of companies in fortune 500 and how many indian companies are listed and how much off market share those indian companies have globally. Our Indian companies are just dwarfs have just started getting global and US companies are already big gaint. They need man power to run these companies, where they can get it? India, so they are just boasting about our capabilities to serve them cheaply in these videos.

Some people have a really cheap opinion on India. And that includes some Indians as well. I feel sorry, for those who dont understand or respect the value of Indian Culture. Its truely great.

Our leaders say that we will be superpower within 10-20 yrs. Do you think so.

    1) Think the indian economy if IT jobs were not outsourced to India.. boomm.. we are on mercy of other country.
    2) Our system does not have the power to generate jobs.
    3) India does not have social security or anything like it ? If a person needs medical attention, he/she will not get admitted unless they have the medical fees… hmmm
    4) India is focusing only on the age group of 20-35.. what about other age group … ?
    5) Why are we punishing our own people…Castism in India .. the biggest drawback of India ..See the Khairlanjee case.. There was another case in Bihar where all the Dalits has been converted and now there is a lot of peace. http://www.zeenews.com/znnew/articles.asp?aid=335289&sid=REG

Do we want to say that “It’s the problem and we are working on it” ..then it would take about 200 yrs from now.
    We the people

I don’t see any great advantage about outsourcing jobs to india. It screws up working class in both countries, only corporations get richer. 1 job = 3 jobs in india. 1 US person lose a job and 3 indians replace it. But look at the economic burden on india, yes overall it looks good we get billions, but to whom, only to working class in big cities, which causes a pull in buying power of comodities. Not everyone in india can afford high prices. Just because of one sector (IT) all other sectors are effected including common working people in US, who mosltly live on pay-check to pay-check spending. I have seen protests in US working class and boasting by our Indians, but listen to the last words the guys said on this video that if there is another country in the world with same knowledge and english speaking, all the job will move there. So don’t rely much on US economy.

Also I would like to mention that though our direct foreign investment is mainly from US, but we see a great deal of money inflow from Gulf, UK, East Asia and little from EU. I think we should follow the example of EU’s economic model to help each other and raise..only then its Truly India Raising.
