Kashmir was once a paradise on earth. For the same paradise, India and Pakistan fought three wars. In the end, the people of Kashmir are those who are suffering. Yesterday We came across some interesting videos on this issue. These videos highlight the sufferings of Kashmiris between the Governments and the Islamic Militancy. For some of you, these videos may not be as interesting as our bollywood movies, but they certainly throw some light on the Kashmir’s suffering. Spare few minutes in watching these videos. We would really appreciate if you start a meaningful discussion.

Yes People are suffering… This is a failure of our political system which was taken advantage by Pakistan. Certainly I am Sysmpathetic with the people of Kashmir but we cannot give our right to defend our country.
Those videos really shown how Kashmiris are suffering in between the Govts and the Militancy. I certainly have to come to the conclusion that it all started again due to the provacative bahavior of people like Benajeer Bhutto and their support to the Islamic Militancy. If you really see her speech, I cant believe how one can provocate people to kill the people from another religion.
Being half Kashmiri, I know how it feels to go through what people staying there are going through. I would say the Indian people have to rise to ensure self respect and freedom of speech and a right to a healthy lifestyle. Those were Indian people who are killed innocently by our brave army in frustration. An army would do what its doing, what has failed is the civil administration. Moreover, all the leaders have sold Kashmir to either the Pakistanis, the Indians or the militants. Its a concoction of power play between many players with everyone loosing a lot. Whats frightening is that the stakes are so high now that withdrawl from the game would mean loss of domestic face. I pray for everyone in Kashmir: the civilian, the army and the militant ( or freedom fighter for some)
Its obvious that Benazir Bhutto like her father, like all their military rulers, like their father of the nation provocate innocent, illiterate and failed people to utiize them for their personal agendas. Its time the world wake up, its time for the whole India to wake up, its time for the whole Kashmir to wakeup and be united and teach the selfish assholes a lesson which will teach atleast 10 generations what peace and love is. I would also like to educate our so called politicians to stop wasting their time in so called hindutva and caste based “isms” and leave way for more vision based leaders who can atleast salvage the pride of the nation and protect them.

The videos are so disturbing. It is typical to people like Sandra Jordan (Video3 reporter) who relentlessly show one side affairs and tactically give negative side of Indian admisistration to fuel the conflicts among oridinary people. Do they have guts to go to Pakistan side kashmir and show the training camps and interview them.
First it is very easy for politicians to provocate on Religion. This is what happened there. People were disappoited by local administration and pakistan took advantage of it. I strongly critize the division of India on the basis of Religion. “Religion is not everything it should just guide people”
There are reports of many Madrasas giving training on Islam. They should teach Islam with other studies (Political, Computers). But not just Islam itself. What the hell they will do after graduation? Will they get job just by learning the religion?
I dont think u get arond 5 Mosque’s every corner. Reports say about 7,00,000 people are there to study only religion. These are people are highly exploitable and with provocation will do anything.

its really touching…the saga of violence….please say not kashmir….People should not become blind ..Divide and Rule…Nothing can be achieved with the violence or war on the basis of Land, Religions,Minorities, Majorities,Races and Languages(who knows). Hello i am myself a kashmiri pandit, i was just 7 old, when my family was forced to move out of Kashmir. I really didn’t had much of idea at that time. But one thing i really understand now and that is we kashmiri’s has lost our individuality. Sikhs are because of Punjab, bangali’s are because of Bengal. But what about we kashmiri pandits. I really regret to tell that in the comming generation of kashmiri pandit, about 90% of kashmiri pandits don’t know there culture and even cant speak there mother tongue. This is all just because of some greedy people.

These reporters should show both sides of the coin. Making noise about Human Rights abuse in Kashmir valley by Indain soldiers is fine, but they should also show whats going on in Pakistan administered areas and most importantly they should show the human rights abuse by the terrorists. What about the miserable lives of the Kashmiri Pandits living as refugees in their own country. Nobody talks about them.
Biased one sided reporting does not help in any way. At least the reporters should be neutral.

I am a proud Indian i read a lot about kashmir saga. Heard a lot of documnetries on the issue in different channels around the world. Most of them when they talk about the solution on the kasmir issue form pakistan prospective they never think about what is going on in POK. They go on and on on Indian kashmir. POK is ruled by an retired general from pak army and they say it is a free country. They don’t even have basic human rights in there. Most of the northern region is being ocupied by the pakistani people rather than kashmiri people. they are being pushed from there own land and they say POK is Azad Kashmir. What a bunch of hypocrites.
I agree with NRI and as mentioned the whole world is worried about indian kashmir and forgetting the fact tht Pakistan and POK is,has been and would be the sole root of all the miseries,the world is facing at the moment.. At least now the world should realise the reality or else it will be too late..

I Just finished a discussion with Sikh, Tamil and Nepali collegues of mine. Singh says a whole generation aged 15-18 were wiped out by KPS Gill in 1984. People of Punjab were oppressed, suppressed and police and army raped gals.
Vani says Tamilians are being oppressed and suppressed by lankan govt so she sympathises with them. shrestha thinks fuedal oppression for years has led to maoist movements. The same are the stories of Assamese, Nagas, Afghans in Taliban time and Iraqis. The common factor is everyone says the same to defend their argument. One thing for sure is one has to know where to limit ones emotions, lmit ones sympathies for such agressive ideology and instead vent your anger at right time and right place. Emotions should not go to the extent of supporting cause and people who cross limits to kill people and disturb peace in society. GOvernment nor the people neither should pardon such activity or protect such people. In a free democracy, there are always ways to fight issue and resolve them, however see that you neither kill somebody else nor loose ones own life. One’s life is more valuable than losing it and more so for a losing battle.
GOvernment of India should develop a framework for Kashmir about the long term resolvement of issue and annexing it completely.
The framework should start with what could change the thinking of this population:
Economical,Social, Education and their Future.
seriously Economics and IT will play a crucial role in weaking the people stand as India starts to give more oppurtunities to these people.

I am even afraid to look at the video, Can imagine what’s in it. Our Govt is all twisted with political tactics. Kashmir is a part of India and we shoudl protect it. More then half is POK…how did that happen. Nowadays when i see India map, it raises my BP… what the heck, its Govt to defend and secure Indian land. I strongly appose Gandhian way, have the power show it, have nuclear power show it. What did American do with Afghanistan, do the same here, what are we waiting for ….. an invitation. India has always been defendant that is the problem. Gave all of its wealth to its invaders and what is left, let peaple have it inch by inch and sit quietly and watch.
