From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, so many great places to visit in India but a very little has done to attract tourists from around the world. i have seen all the vedios, believe me, from a europeans perspective it doesnt attract me, come on i am not riligious, not going for some ancient treasure hunt, nor do i know what they r dancing, the things that would attract me are some relishing food in some auspicious restaurant, or the naked goa beach with some drugs, lying on the hot beach with a couple of beers, or some forts of kings really royal or some crazy people doing crazy things and much more like this. i am not hear to watch some poor people dye on the streets nor to let some one steal my bag in the airport itself.

Hi there…though i usually go through all these comments on various issues, i never make it a point to pen down my opinion /thoughts…but somehow the above comment has made me to do so.
Firstly..what makes you so sure that “your perspective” of european perspective is right ??? ….and please dont give me vague and stuffed answers like .. you have been there and therefore you know better….thousands of us have been there..
and 1) what makes you think that they are not religious??? Dont you think you are being judgemental..??well i think so..i think that you have been by far too judgemental…about them
2) well coming to your observation about their perception of our dancing etc.. well again its too prejudiced…thats what i have to call it i.e if i dont want to rub on your wrong side by saying that..those were all..muh like rantings of an imbecile..
3) and coming to beaches…with naked women / drugs / beer…etc…well..if at all a tourist wants to do that..its his wish..and neither me nor you have a right to condone it..ones life to ones wish..thats all there is to it…and BTW..what exactly was your crib there..is it that europeans drink beer and sun bath naked on beaches or is it that they do that in Goa or is it that the videos shown dont have glimpses of those and thus cannot promote tourism in india…????
3) and lastly…coming to poor people losing life on streets, bags being lifted in airports…well …i dont deny that..nor does..any person raised in india ..we deal that almost everyday…not only that..i can give a huge list..with many a heart wrenching / drenching stories / realities etc…but as we all pretty much know….thats how it is in india…its high time you / we accept that…and face it…instead of making loaded / disdainful remarks…please dont misunderstand..me …iam not asking you to be proud of our shortcomings….iam just saying that acknowledge / embrace them..dont shy away……and mostly dont use that ..disdainful tone …as if no body can help and things are all set for doom….
anycase…its not my intent to draw a personal feud or indulge in any word wars..etc..its just that….somehow…i sort of..was taken aback by such attitude…where in its so easy to be so judgemental…anycase…so long…. VVV

I have a lot of western friends, and all those people have a very keen interest and respect for our Indian culture, tradition, religions, values, dance, food, dressing, languages, customs, diversity, unity to mention a few. They come on a quest to India to learn and find the magical feel of being in a country with thousands of languages and religions. Be proud of it!! No tourist comes to see the nudity of the beaches or for drugs. They see more than that in their countries. They come to India to see the purity of our rich culture and tradition we have been carrying for centuries and the monumental architectures we still cherish. Appreciate the effort in the ads. I would say they do bring a good feel in everyone who is from India, being able to see the better side of our nature and country which we dont recognize when we are in our country. Encourage those hardworked efforts our people have put in making such wonderful ads to promote our culture. Cherish our culture and customs at least watching them in such videos. Dont be judgemental about them in somebody else’s perspective. This is not meant to be a personal feud but I felt that such wonderful ads were worth apperication, not depreciation.

That is so stupid to say. It show how immature u are. Look at the search stats for Taj Mahal. Look at the discovery documentary about south india temples. Only if some non-india media shows you those videos, only then you beleive. Well you must be enjoying a lot in the nude beaches of Europe, since that should be ur purpose of visit.
