Netaji, Our National Hero (Misc.)
By media.desi on Jun 30, 2006 in Patriotic
He was imprisoned by the British authorities 11 times. At the outset of World War II, in a daring act of escape from the eyes of the British, he moved out of India, and reached Germany by a lengthy and dangerous route. He sought an alliance with the Axis powers, Japan and organized the Indian National Army against British forces with the aim of attacking the British. His political views and the alliances he made with Nazi and other militarist regimes, forced him to go
underground after the war(controversy sorrounds this). Yes, we are talking about Netaji, Subash Chandra Bose. British Kingdom feared his name as he was the most influentual leader along with Gandhi and he did NOT preached Non-Violence.
Bose was believed to have died in a plane crash while flying to Tokyo on 18 August 1945. However, his body was never recovered, and there are theories that he was alive until recently. Several committees were set up by our government to probe into this matter. Some were dissolved, some were rejected and the latest committee concluded that there is no evidence that Netaji died in a place crash. So what did our government do? It just criticized the commision and set aside the latest report.
All Netaji ever dreamed was an independent India. A country with complete freedom. He sacrificed his life for his country. Don’t you guys think that our governnment has the least resposibility to find the whereabouts of our national hero, an “Indian Samurai”? What do you guys have to say about this?

Netaji is definitely our national hero and he deserves every bit of the respect he gets. And no Indian would ever forget his contribution in our struggle for freedom. His life / thoughts and idealogies are firmly etched on India Psyche as well as its history pages and its a no mean tribute. Its true that Indian Gov. has set up various commissions to probe his
disappearance and yet there were no concrete results.
Despite all the above, i very strongly feel that 60 years after his disappearance, it is not a very good idea to invest resources and time in digging out this case, especially when there are so many important issues that need attention and resources. We need to move on. Personal opinion ofcourse!

I would agree 100% that he is our national hero along with Bhagat Singh. I would like to know and expect everybody to know what happenned to him.. I wouldn’t leave one stone unturned to find out what happenned to him and why he preferred to be “underground” even after independence….

Netaji was a great National Hero and there may be some adverse reasons for his disappearance. Rumors about the “Gumnami baba” and the fact finding of “No Air Crash” in taipei make me think of some “National Cause” for his disappearance. May be the British wanted him dead to free India?
He did not encourage slaverism which we Indians still maintain to be in. We favour the Gandhi family so much that “nothing sensible” makes sense to us anymore. Though we Donated the liver of our Nation and have innumerable deaths at the head we still are in the darkness of insanity.
More than putting efforts to find his “where abouts” or “how abouts”, our efforts to do justice to ourselves and thereby live his dreams would make more sense.
So long…

Yes, definetly Indian national congress never wanted to reveal misterious missing of the great LEGENDERY leader of India. Unfortunately BJP unturned out to be not much different in thier rulling skills as they did not pay much attention during their regime.
Thats how we got indepence by ignoring great leader and sidelining future heros. The result we are still facing ruthless rulers and pseduo patriots.
Atleast now the people of India strongly support the need of revealing the mistry behind Netajis missing. Otherwise the future generation will laugh at us for your incapability in know about our great and true freedom fighter.
India is rising, wake up Indian. Ask bravely the rulers about the great and true freedom fighters histroy.

Government is constantly deploying commissions and committes to investigate this. Different people/evidences are self contradicting … in which case no one can do any thing significant !
My salutations to Subhash Chandra
Bose ji.

i believe in the above statements. It took so(more than 100 years) long for our freedom stuggle, just because we r not fighting togeather. Some kings behaved like bootlickers of British. This helped them to concer the rest of INDIA. Later due to the conflict in the polacies of comunist party and Congress party, diluted the struggle for Independent India.

I think rather than pointing fingure on government everyone should accept that He was died in plane crash in 1945, and honour and salute
for the bravery and valuable life he contributed for Freedom of India, if he might be alive he might have came back to India to fight because he was real brave man, for whom every Indian is Proud today. So rather than controversing everyday better just take some learning from his acheivement and do better for our country than talking foolish things. Please dont waste time now and do some good thing like Great Subhash Chandra Bose, this Newspaper want there column to be filled so they write better think for India.

hello, with out knowing the truth (if he is alive or not ), how can u take it granted that he is dead and we have to salute, and honor him. If anything like this happens to ur relative dont u try to investigate and research about the truth.

Congress was ruled this country for long time. And Congress never liked the Dynamic Hero “Netaji”. Due to this reason they did not bother to find where abouts of the Netaji.
I am an Ex-Service man Served 20 long years for our Nation.I beleive “Netaji” was our God father for our Forces(Army,Navy & Air Force). I still respect him and honour him as a real National Hero for ever.
Thanks

It’s a fact that Netaji is a national hero whether one accepts or not. He won’t needs to be said about him, it is the pulse of every Indian that reveals his heroism, we are proud that Subash is Indian and we are proud to be an Indian too.
Then, where the controversy is…? it exist because of coward politicians, who lacks the guts to face the truth, who fears their selfish political future and undermines the ability of people in the name of national security to disclose the truth.
We can not forget our national heroes, whether it is Bose or the missing comrades of 1971 war or the victims of Kargil, there can not be a future for a nation who forgets it’s sons of soil. A nation cannot expect heroes every time by forgetting all those in the past. For sustained future a nation needs patriotic past and present.
I object to those who say its waste of money and resources to dig into the past. Without knowing yourself, your nation, your culture, your heritage, and your history… who are you? How do you assert your self? Self-assertion is very important for a nation as well as individual. And lacking this won’t earn respect to you; in the absence of this self-assertion you are nothing.
It is very important for us to know our past to build our future, it gives us the strength to fight, it encourages us, it shows us the path to follow if not to create.
We need to respect our heroes, we need to protect our heroes, and we need to live for our heroes, to create heroes of tomorrow. It is the absence of this, the root cause of why are we like this today.
No body bothers about the nation… all which runs are selfish causes…money, use of resources only for selfish gains and our well-being.. Come out of this evil nexus if you want the India to be a tomorrows America. At least try to learn from America. It won’t even afford to loose one American soldier at any cost, if any thing happens to it’s citizen across the globe, it won’t step back from going to any extent to bring him back safely. ‘All for One and One for All’ – it is this message, which encourages everybody to work and scarifies for nation, and that’s what turns the nation into the powerful one.
When the matter of nation comes… we must be ‘one for all and all for one’.
Long Live India…JaiHind.

It is every Indians right to know about the true facts of disappearance of NetaJi.
I totally suspect foul play by the congress governement. I believe it is trying to conceal the true facts about dissappearance of NetaJi.
It may very well would have conspired with Britishers to eliminate him.
