Tuesday evening, seven explosions killed at least 174 innocent people on crowded commuter trains. Victims are all innocent ordinary civilians, women, children most going home after work. Reports indicate at least 1000 severely injured with severed limbs. Explosions resembles the work of Kashmir based terrorists Lashkar-e-Tayyiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Their leaders are based in Pakistan with open funds collections for recruiting suicide bombers. In this hard times, we must all be united and fight against terrorism. Let the terrorists know that we don’t bow to terrorism.

This is a relly barbarious act, we all need to stand together at this time to show the terorrists and Pakistan that they will be defeated everytime they try to act this way. Also the government should act proactively to prevent loss of life. The supreme court should ask for explanation from the government what steps they have taken after the Mumbai blasts in 1993 to prevent such incidents from happening again. Also the government should act hard on terorrists, they cannot be friendly to terorrists by removing laws like POTA.

We are not Hindus and Muslims or Gujaratis and Marathis or Punjabis and Bengaliies. Nor do we distinguish ourselves as owners or workers, govt. employees or private employees. WE ARE MUMBAIKERS (Bombay-ites, if you like). We will not allow you to disrupt our life like this. On the last few occassions when you struck (including the 7 deadly blasts in a single day killing over 250 people and injuring 500+ in 1993), we went to work next day in full strength. This time we cleared everything within a few hours and were back to normal - the vendors placing their next order, businessmen finalizing the next deals and the office workers rushing to catch the next train. (Yes the same train you targetted)
Fathom this: Within 3 hours of the blasts, long queues of blood donating volunteers were seen outside various hospital, where most of the injured were admitted. By 12 midnight , the hospital had to issue a notification that blood banks were full and they didn’t require any more blood. The next day, attendance at schools and office was close to 100%, trains & buses were packed to the brim, the crowds were back.
The city has simply dusted itself off and moved one - perhaps with greater vigour.
We are Mumbaikers and we live like brothers in times like this. So, do not dare to threaten us with your crackers. The spirit of Mumbai is very strong and can not be harmed.

This is the worst bomb blast from more than a decade in India. I understand its seriousness, but this is a result of our human nature. Let me start by saying that terrorists and those who helped them should be publicly hanged.
I have seen many poor people who were helping the injured by carrying them using bedsheets. I coulnt stop feeling emotional at the same time very angry at what happened and the subsequent government reaction. Every time thousands of people die, we get a “statement” from PM that “terrorism will be defeated”. Sure you will defeat it cause you support illegals from bangladesh, you repeal POTA, you send peace buses to pakistan. May be our PM is brilliant when it comes to economy but our country’s security is in jeopardy under congress government.
This kind of terrorist incidents will happen again unless the government starts taking action.

Guys! I agree with most of the people who commented above on terrorism. But one thing beyond terrorism concerned me. Many used the word “Mumbaikers”, but do we have to divide mumbai from people of india and say “mumbaikers”…we are fighting as a country. Any part of the country would do the same as Mumbai is doing today. India is a spirited nation. We have enough divisions in our country with states/caste system etc….we don’t want any more divisions. Crying on some one is not a solution first of all we have culcripts in our system itself first we need to eliminate them…. politicians… they are the main cause for terrorism… what all the problems we have in this world are basically arised due to their votebank policies, selfishness corruption and a lot to say… I think there is a solution to end. first we need to have a dialogue with the internal problem creators… The naxalites… dont you think that they might be the reason for that mishap or cruel deed.(what ever you might call it) when they can blast trains blast railway tracks, railway stations …kill people blast govt buildings… they might have done this too… may be a year ago or more than that… Govt of andhrapradesh had dialogue with them but an unsuccessful one… during that time maoists and the naxalite merged forming CPI(maoists)… they had huge recruitment after that time… they have a vast network of atleast 20000 people across the country…. dont you think that this is not sufficient for creating such problems…

Lets see, some say we are cowards and some other suggest we should tackle the naxalite problem first. Naxalites are no different than terrorists and both are equally dangerous except the fact that they have diffrent ideologies. Torrorists in india are mostly muslim and trying to convert the entire india into a muslim state whereas naxalites are mostly backward hindus trying to extort money, have their own land with their own governance as they think forward classes are oppressing the backward ones. Sure both kill innocent people without remorse but terrorists are threat to a nation as a whole and naxalites are threat locally. We have enough commandoes and anti-naxalite forces operating in jungles of AP and jharkand. What we need is more dedicated force to counter the terrorist network in our country. That can be done by planting millions of people as secret agents throughout muslim dominated regions and also bringing back POTA to deal with people who help these terrorists. Sure i agree congress government is very reluctant to take any action against the minorities as that will affect their votebank and so this government is coward for sure and since we elected such a government we are indirectly harming our country. Well, it was pretty obvious that India has failed in maintaining the security of its own people. Right after the blasts blaming “MUSLIM MILITANTS” means that Indian security agencies don’t wanted to investigate.
Just some days before the blasts Mumbai was very tense because of disgrace of hindu godess in the city. It seems that political hindues are blaming the muslims intentionally!!!
Better if indian government work on the security of its own people and investigate who is behind the attack rather than just barking out the names!

why does not the government form a special department headed by the president or army cheif that specially deals with these terrorists. Every time terror strikes, Our honourable PM and ministers become more softer towards terrorist friends. Our media can be bribed much easier than a government servent. They might be bit expensive, but not for rich pseudo-secularists and communists. This corrupted Media takes the responsibility to calm down the aggression of citizens and make them forget as soon as possible. These things have been happened during Delhi, Ayodhya, Varanasi, J&K and Mumbai blasts.
It is more shameful that Congress ruling Jammu has banned “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogans by devotees. Perhaps they are trying to win hearts of terrorists. They might also be taking steps to seperate J&K from India. How many Indians do care about these incidents? Not a single leading newspaper reported this incident, except “The Pioneer”.
As “INDIAN” put it, as long as Indians remained eunuchs, country is destined to face more gore incidents in future. Even god doesnt help inactive people.
It wont be a surprise if they ban slogans of “Vandemataram”, “Jai Hind”, “Bharat Mata ki Jai” etc all over the country.

I forgot to mention about attack on Bangalore IISc in my previous comment. A genius professor was killed and other top intellectuals were injured severly in that attack. Our government did nothing except giving some money to the affected families. IISc is one of the highly reputed institution in Science & Technology and maintaining its rank in the world top 20 consistently. As I said earlier, our government getting more softer and cowardice with every incident to consolidate their vote bank.

Well, It wasn’t me who brought the religion in this discussion. It was this discussion what brought in Pakistan and “Muslim terrorist”. Look you, your self mentioned ‘Pakistan’. I agree may be I am biased as I am not my self in side that every thing happening but what I want a solution. What I believe that India (and indians in this discussion) completely directly blamming Pakistan, thats simply rediculus. It seemed to me rather failure gevernment that justified by blamming “foreign” powers.
Simply, we are not going toward solution. Well, I don’t know what can be the absolute solution. However, unless ‘chronic’ problems are not solved such ‘acute’ problems will rise again and again. For Kashmir, neither Pakistan nor India ever think what Kashmiri think I think let them decide (plebiscite) and all side should accept what is the decision of the people (without any “foreign” or militery threat. As if in the blasts or in terrorist act who ever is involved could not leave the country right after the blasts? That means responsibles can be cought and can be brought to justice, to me should be HANGED TILL DEATH in public best is at the places where the blasts happened.
Well, still problem can presist depeneds if the people still stick to the prejudice (of being Hindu, Muslim, Pakistani, Indian what ever……) I have no solution in my mind for this! If you know some I will be glad to hear.
