Political Leaders - Shame on You! (Misc.)
By media.desi on Feb 2, 2007 in Discussions, Politics
In Hyderabad, traffic on National Highway 9 and National Highway 7 was hit after both the opposition parties and the ruling Congress called a blockade over where the proposed IIT should be set up. The blockade was for about 8 long hours.
Below photo shows a toddler in a serious condition & their parents trying to reach hospital. I bet they might not even have heard the name of an IIT before.

Just 100 yards ahead of them Congress Leaders playing kabbadi in the middle of road. Even after numerous requests they did not allow the vehicle to passby.

Even Telugu Desam Leaders are playing… Cricket in the middle of the road. They even dugg out a well built road for their wickets.

Where are we heading? Why do ordinary people have to suffer because of these politics? And where is the so called Police Department? The same guys here in these photos will run for MLA’s, MP’s. Some of them will become Ministers & even CM’s. Finally, they will be the one to draft new rules & regulations for us.
On one side people like Ratan Tata & our India Inc. are expanding abroad and these political rowdy’s are turning the development wheel in a reverse direction.

Dont call them political leaders…. call them political assholes….

Protest should be peaceful and it should not be inconveniant for the public. I also think our people(protesters) have to control their emotions. Recently I think in bombay, ruling party MP’s supporters burnt a train compartment for a small incident happened to him. This is not good for DEVELOPING INDIA. People have to be educated.
After seeing irresponcible and careless politetions I call the educated youth to contest against them and not only support but laso join newly biult parties like LokParitran by formar IITans and Loksatha by format IAS Jayaprakash narayan.

Is India a democracy? I guess not. after this incident the meaning of the word has lost its sheen. I could not even think of a solution how this kind of things can be avoided in the future, police – they are in the pockets these politicians, people- mostly uneducated. What possibly can be done to make these politicians repent for their deeds? Never believed … but now I seriously wish there is some thing called hell.
Every body who have left a message here are accusing the people for electing such kind of politicians, but we have to keep in mind that every major party seems to have an involvement in what has happened there, now I am lost as to whom to vote… That’s what I guess is happening with people of India, we are lost! ….. The only way to eradicate this political epidemic is education and awareness… no shooting, no bhagat singh, no bharatiyudu , and no rang de basanti will bring about this change .. they all look fascinating while on screen.. They simply don’t work…history is the witenss

I am just wondering if you guys are young and just came to know of these things or what. This incident or any other like this don’t surprise me. Stuff like this happens all across India. “Fear” is what make issues like these be frowned upon and forget tomorrow.
Yes there are uneducated people who support these politicians for various reasons. What are educated people going to do? Think about it and comment a few but we all tend to move on to lead our lives and only when we directly come across hassles due to this we have any real response. Until then to each their own.
We are in the 21st century but DOWRY is still reigning and all the educated people all part of this custom too so what happened to the education. It is kind of hard to break tradition or go against age old customs. India will not change not because there are uneducated brutes but there are those (most of us) who can’t or won’t challenge the system. When we decide to do that then maybe we will see some change until then all we do is bite our teeth and spew out a few comments.
END OF STORY……………

Friends,
These idiots who are so called politicians ruling us have to be made accountable for whatever actions they do. Since nobody over there dare to speak out and even if they do they need to have a strong backup monetorily . Since we people most perhaps all of us well educated an settled good need to do whatever we can. I mean why don’t NRI’s form a social body with good funding and fight for social causes legally through courts without any personal or political ambition and make them accountable whatever harm they do to us by their deeds. I have been having this idea for quite sometime and still wondering just about how to implement this. Maybe if not today I will be doing sometime later.

It became common for politicians to do demonstrations, create chaos and confusion in the city making life difficult for a common man in todays society. If an important person falls sick in their family they go ways to get to the hospital but when a common man wants to go to hospital they are stuck in the traffic. The state of the governament in India is degrading very much making life miserable to live. Playing kabbadi and cricket in the middle of the road by congress or telugu desam leaders, such people are not considered as politicians they are considered as political rowdy’s. Meetings should have been held between the two parties to discuss setting up of IIT in the city but this is not the way for setting up IIT in the city.

Kudos to the media, atleast this incident came out. How many dont come out though? It is time we ask ourselves a few serious questions and atleast try to do something about it. Any ideas?

Why dont we all try and send this link to bbc, cnn, kalam, prime minister, Sonia Gandhi( Well if congress ruled for 80% of the time since we got independence) then i blame those ass holes for turning the country into this, not that other political parties are any less evil. But they set the example and rest followed.
Why dont we send this link to all our friends every where in the world and ask them to send this to all newspapers, TV stations every where.
Throw across some ideas. Maybe the website owners can keep this link alive for a while, until something good comes out of this. Desivideos.net took a bold step forward, from entertainment to a site which could be instrumental in bringing positive developments for our Country.

Atleast the so called part leader called as cheifs who pretend as if they are breathe their every breath for the welfare of the society should really respond and comeup with responsible action against these type of people .we all know the party responds only if these people go aganist the party but not the society what chandra babu garu says “kramasiskhana”. I guess as per him “kramasiskhana” doesnt apply here..
atleast the media people instead going back of movie stars once in a while they should ask politicans whoes is responsible for such deeds. but nobody does this.

I believe this happens everyday, this is not new… this is properly advertised. We should not forget that, this politicians are elected by us. And we should keep in mind we elect people on the basis of religion, catse, stars.. etc. We are as responsible as them for this circumstances. I confirm that we are governed by greedy, illetrate, unsocialised people.
So the entire system is polluted, and the important stuff people are happy to live in it. Anywayz eitherwise you also performs the same activities may be minor if suppose u got the power. So I believe in changing thee way of our thinking, our parents generation was all corrupted, may be we can dream to give our children a democratic country.
NaserAmaan | Feb 2, 2007 | Reply
Hi Archana,
What you said is very true. If people love India, their village, town, city or whatever — they should just stay there and try to make a living. They shoudn’t move to big cities or different states or countries. If that were the case no one should be workng in high paying IT jobs in India, Tech suport centers, off-shore development centers, or any multi-national companies because all that came because people went out, worked hard, made the world realize what we Indians can do.
Confusing commerce with being a faithful citizen is a mistake. They are two different things.
Yes many just talk, protest and do nothing. But that is how life is. All it takes is one person out of all the people who talk. We didnt win independence because of a million Gandhi’s. But that doesnt mean the rest dont even protest.
Lot of us even if we were present at that moment might have not have done anything. Why simply because China is a Communist country, India is democratic — but guess who has got more freedom?
If someone had protested at that time, do you think that police who are supposedly servants of people would keep quite?
The system is the way it is, change does not happen overnight. With so many youth around in India, maybe our time for a positive change is in the near future.
Why not we all do something for a change, find out who that MP from congress was. And fight to get information out to people about his service to the nation. Why not start with something small. We can atleast make a point by taking out ads in newspapers, TV, Radio, distributing pamplets, or just printing mass pamphlets and getting them distributed. Something to make a point. Any ideas……..

One word comes to my mind - disheartening. As pointed out by the write-up, when it is a time of transitioning into “developed” status, these so-elected political leaders are just running a sham in the name of democracy.
How does it matter if an institute like IIT is being setup in Medak or in Basar? Aren’t the litigations politically motivated alone? All they need is an excuse and an issue to turn against each other.
Seeing so many voicing their opinions, I was wondering if any of these senile morons captured in the published pictures actually get to read what the common man feels and thinks like? Redressal of our grievances seems like a distant dream in this world of wretched reality.
Thanks for giving me the space to voice out. Regards.

First and foremost the politicians should be elected only if they are well educated, young and who are well aware of the steps needed to be taken to make India advance in all aspects(not taking sides but someone like Chandra Babu Naidu). And ofcourse the position should be paid well as in one of the top IT positions and they should always be inwatch so that they do not aquire assets unlegally. How hard could that be?
This should happen in one shot(as in one year election time) so that there will be dilution and not one person who is truthful will not be punished by these kind of selfish politicians.Let the Indians not vote until they like the person who is standing for that constituency.Let us rise together and create awareness at the time before election.Let us make an ideal nation. It is impossible to make the standard of living equal among all the citizens but we can put an end to the corruption so that the situation gets better.

Hi Guys,
First thing is to Archana. Archana, it is very easy to spit out anger on people also like this. But imagine the power they have. Do you think even if someone who is present over there revolts, there could have some solution? Those guys can even kill that person.
As Prasanth said, even if we send an email to that Government’s email address, I don’t think they are going to read it. No wonder even if it goes to their SPAM folder.
I would love to use “INDIAN” group email to CM - helpindia_develop@yahoo.com. But, is there any guarantee that we will receive proper response? There is no point in talking to politicians. Just ignore them.
We definitely need Desimedia’s help in conveying all our feelings and resentment towards this to the people of Andhra Pradesh and India.
Administrator, please provide us some solution in carrying over our response to people. This is so pathetic. I don’t find any difference between British rule and current Government’s rule.
Guys, we are all educated. Let’s work with brain. I want to give one anology. If you suffer from fever once, you might take medicine directly to treat fever and you will be fine. But, if you have malaria or some other disease inside and suffering from fever again and again, you will get rid off that only when you treat that disease, but not just by treating fever. Because, you have to face it again. Temporary things keep happening as long as we don’t hit current “SYSTEM”. This “SYSTEM” word is so powerful and that has to be changed in our country.
Here I have some ideas since long running in my brain but could not find an avenue to share with. Please let me know your opinions.
Number ONE change in law should be:
1. Entire Police Department shoud be taken out of control of either State or Central Government. It should be working directly under the control of Governor or President. It should be a seperate body like CBI. That way politicians are 99% handicapped. Guys, you can’t imagine how much change it will bring in our lives. When a security system is not scared of the daily living of his or her family, you have no idea about the potential they can show. At that point, politicians won’t or can’t even know the plans of police department towards the security of the people because now they are duty focussed, not focussed on their family’s lives or their jobs.
Number TWO change in law should be:
2. Anyone contesting in elections should have completed minimum any Bachellors degree in their life and must take a computer exam in the subjects related to country and important international affairs. This is to know how much interest that person has in the affairs of country. The questions will be randomly generated by computer and not framed by any examiner. Contestants must take exam at different times and each time is monitored by 3 cameras and live telecasted through a TV Channel. There can be efficient people who could not do their studies but genuinely want to help country and society, those people will be provided free boks and they can attend computer exam though they don’t have the degree. But, they must take the Bachellors degree later.
And another important thing is whoever has finished Bachelors degree and want to contest in elections must not have used the reservations at any point for their studies on caste basis.
GUYS, ABOVE THINGS WERE NOT THOUGHT OF BY OUR LEADERS WHO HAVE WRITTEN THE CONSTITUTION EARLIER BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT ANTICIPATE THE POLITICAL CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY IN THEIR COMING DAYS. BUT NOW COUNTRY HAS CHANGED A LOT, PEOPLE HAVE CHANGED, LAW AND RULES HAVE TO BE CHANGED. ABOVE THINGS MAY SOUND LITTLE BIT COMPLEX INITIALLY TO IMPLEMENT BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER IMPLEMENTED THAT WAY OR THOUGHT OF THAT WAY TILL TODAY. BUT LETS START DOING IT AND PEOPLE WILL GET USED IT. STUDENTS WERE NOT USED TO MINUS MARKS IN THE INITIAL DAYS, BUT NOW THEY ARE. THE SAME PRINCIPLE I WANT TO BE APPLIED TO POLITICS AREA ALSO. POLITICS SHOULD BE A TOUGH REGION FOR PEOPLE TO ENTER, THEY SHOULD NOT ENTER INTO THINKING OF IT AS MONEY MAKING WHILE HAVING FUN. THEN ONLY REAL PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT COUNTRY WILL GO THROUGH THOSE DIFFICULT TESTS AND COME UP AND THOSE SERIOUS PEOPLE WILL DO SOMETHING TO PEOPLE OF INDIA. THAT WAY, ATLEAST WE CAN FILTER THE DIRTIEST WORMS FROM THE RULING.
Administrator, this is my request that people of India should be known of our ideas and feelings. Please suggest us some way and contribute your ideas for a better change.

Not a good, try to change the whole system the government is formed, the way candidates are chosen. But I wish people look at these problems in a much broader way. Their shud be a minimum of IAS/IPS or some equivalent qualification for any leader position but not the way it is now in India. anybody who can invest and who is a “ROWDY” in simple words shud not be allowed to become a politician. Nor the film actors or actresses who besides making money from films thru people are trying to become politicians for the so called only reason “DOING GOOD TO THE PEOPLE” shud not be entertained anymore. Literates with good educational background in political sciences or any high qualifications as i said before shud be elected based on some wise criteria.

People dont have much choice while electing. All the politicians of all parties are selfish and interested only in making money for themselves. People donot have much choice other than voting one of those idiots keeping a hope that they will do something good for the society.
A major change in the government can only happen when somebody with right spirit comes into politics and set up a new party which works only for the people. I am waiting for that day eagerly.
I know it is not so easy for somebody to come into politics because these rowdy politicians will supress them even before they plan to come into politics. But this can happen with the support of people. American population is not even equal to the Indian population below 25 years. Our country is having so much of young blood. People will defnitely vote to THAT person sets up a party “FOR THE PEOPLE” and comes into politics.

As everyone agrees India has a lot of potential and yet pathetic conditions exists making the people choiceless especially the educated and deserved dont have a choice than leave India for better conditions or keep quiet and suffer. People who can ask questions and change Indian political model(CURRENTLY CORRUPTED TO CORE) is either numb to things that have been happening or dont care as it is difficult and dangerous.
I know friends who in my college days wanted to be politicians for the wrong reasons(Power, money, caste).
This perception to politics MUST change so that people feel more comfortable encouraging their children to be politicians.I still dont understand in the current age we allow our politicians to be illeterate. When education is so critical we dont have a minimum qualification to be a politician.(I know it is not difficult to get a FAKE certificate but that can be changed too).India is being represented by these politicians nationally and Internationally. The political model must be changed and the government working system must be transparent. As educated people we MUST group together and have to work towards changing this Political model in our state and give an example to the rest of the India.Media is the best advertisement.

Yes I personally feel it can changed.Indians are highly qualified to be on Par with the rest of the world in all fields then why not politics. The only think that India has not adopted is the political revolution from most of the contemporary politics around the world.
I think the reason we have not changed our politics is because the people who has to take steps to change the current situation(politicians) feel threatened because this change will be there own downfall.
Indian People have always been skeptical about changes. We have changed inspite of our skeptisism in so many sectors but then why not politics.
I am pretty sure that we will change in future with radical measures(As I believe everything has a breaking point) but If we try now those radicalism can be curbed and Indian politics can be changed slowly but effectively.

It is better not to talk about these political leaders.Instead of wasting time on talking about them and publishing their Thamashas it is better to encourage and give moral support by actively participate either of the party like LokSatha/LokPatrian.
My sincere request to Mr.Jaya Praksh Narayana please develop one website which should give the platfrom to discuss the current and forth coming activities what we has to take for bringing the new political system in the country by educating the people.
For this, Loksatha have to develop the cadre fron the gross root i.e,. from villages itself, atleast it should have 10 active citizens they sould be educated one and courageous and they should be very honest too.So that they can argue with command with the Government Emplyee(Public Servant.
This cadre should be give well trainig on their roles especially what are the funds releasing to the villages from the state and cetral government on what basis the work is going whether it is implementing properly or not.
These citizens should encourage the villagers/public and should be able to bring the awarenss in the public actually what is going arround us. We are not the beggers to ask the request to the Government employee actually they are the servants to us who are appointed indirectly by us they should work on behalf of us and they should not command us but we should become to command them to make to take our need from them.
I hope Mr. JayaPrakash narayan is understanding my feelings all the young and dynamic generation is waitng for the right platform to fight with the current bullish political(rowdy)system.
thanks,
Bommy
