Top Politicians in Human Trafficking (Misc.)

You might have already read this news. The dramatic surrender of alleged kingpin Rashid Ali on Thursday has opened a can of worms and it’s now clear that the emigration racket is spread across party lines and cuts across state boundaries.

The Andhra Pradesh angle – which came to limelight after the names of two Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) MLAs figured in the scam – also seems to be gaining credence.

The Hyderabad Police on Thursday registered a case against another TRS MLA Soyam Bapu Rao who had pasted the photograph of another woman on his wife’s passport. The Hyderabad Police also recovered passports of seven MLAs from Rashid. Of them, three belong to Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Congress party and four are from other states.

Among those whose passports have been recovered are ex-TDP ministers C Krishna Yadav and T Srinivas Reddy. Police say Rashid confessed in his interrogation that Yadav and Reddy’s passports were allegedly used in 2002-03 to traffic people.

“He has made allegations against several MPs and MLAs and former ministers across political parties. We cannot disclose their names at this juncture. We are verifying the records,” police sources said.

The close involvement of TDP ex-MP Lal Jaan Basha is also being established. Rashid also admitted four people illegally travelled to the US through suspended TRS MP A Narendra. Narendra received Rs 45 lakh for “smuggling” the people out. His son-in-law Preetam acted as a mediator in this case and TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao’s secretary is also involved in the case.

Rashid’s name had come up during interrogation into the Babubhai Katara case. Sources say Rashid had been sheltered until now by a sitting BJP MLA. From there, he reportedly sent the media documents detailing the involvement of five MLAs and 3 MPs in the fake passport racket, which led to the arrest of two Andhra MLAs.

This is such a discgraceful act by our Politicians. What do you think needs to be done to these people?

What should be done to these people? They should be taken away from politics entirely and have a severe jail sentence. At least that’s what we’d hope would happen in an ideal world. However, whatever you and I may predict, considering these politicians are very rich, I doubt any of the above will happen. They will probably just pay their way out of it, cover it up using the media, and put the blame on someone else.
Obviously, this is not the first example of political corruption in the Indian government and it doesn’t surprise that they would do something like this. What does surprise me, however, is how easy it is to “smuggle” people INTO a country, especially with the excessive security these days. But then again, I suppose if there’s a will there’s a way.

We all whether it be a indian, american, african, turkish, nepali, chinese

    - many indians want to run away to some country be it usa, uk, aus, NZ, even dubai or sweden for better life atleast by material standards.

-majority american are themselves or offsprings of people who came to USA for better life, still within usa people from poor states want go to rich states like calfornia. mexicans many a times risk life to enter this country.
-chinese & indians & africans have died in past trying to enter UK and EU.
    - napalis cross over indian border almost all everyday to make a livelihood.

So what drive this craze to enter the rich block is the bad to worst conditions in other parts of world.
    competion,
    population,
    unemployment,
    corruption,
    in homelands

socail factors too have there effect.
people are forced to earn more at any cost to pay of -debts,
-to marry daughters & sister by paying filthy amounts of dowry prelevent.
-to support a big family in which there are more member to spend but only one can earn-
-to be successful in society today means own a good house, car and ablity spend lavishly.

and the major reason in Greed, money and its lust .

some of these people get there dreams realized legally by god’s grace as they get visa or have a better chance of getting it for any purpose from making a living to job to education. In today’s rat race some people dont want to behind and try to work out some alternate way to creep .
It is here the agents come into picture. their sole motive is make money either legally, illegally transporting people or sometimes just swallowing money as fraud.

as we all know our politicians are the gurus of crime and their primary motive is also to make money at any cost so these agent share a common interest.

so its good to punish this agents and politicians as they have broken law.
but this would not stop this immigration and western craze among people. as whole system would haveto be changed to improve conditions. which i think now is a far dream

Young and educated generation should come into politics and take these old lazy corrupt bastards out of power.
Frankly if I were in India I would join LOK SATTA which is lead by an able educated leader Jaya Prakash Narayan…who was once an IAS officer …who resigned his job and joined politics with the true intention of helping people…I appreciate what he is doing….I really really wanna see a drastic change in Indian politics where young educated dynamic people should take over and just do their true service to the nation….

One thing is for sure is that nothing will happen to the politicians involved in this crime. They will happily continue in politics as long as our people vote for money, liquor and sentiment. To be frank, we do not have the right to elect the leaders in our great democrasy, except the selection from these criminals, or their wives or their children. Thanks for the Ghandi/Nehru legacy.

Only hope i see in Jayapraksh Narayanan loksatta.

We all know politics in India has gotten too polluted to be able to recover. Young politicians could probably have the agility and expertise in some situations but they would really need to gain a lot of experience when they intend to become leaders of our society; or probably they could enter with good motives and change their attitudes within a matter of time as I believe is the case with most of our politicians.
I feel unhappy to say that I have no hope of our political scene getting better at least in the next 10-20 years. India is being haunted with political corruption since the past 60 years and expecting some drastic improvements would just be a hope.
The only solution is education(both by parents and schools) of the next generation. This system again has to change. We have huge number of colleges and universities churning out thousands of graduates each year. Yet, these institutions apart from their regular subjects do not teach lessons on leadership, ethics and moral values. India is still a developing country not because we lack talent but because of the lack of these qualities which instill human values.
Lastly, nothing would happen until WE - INDIANS take a step forward and fight against the injustice in our country.

We need is new politicians, ite me you and everybody who wishes the good have to take a step forward. But will we survive these corrupt and rich politicians in the fight is another issue. There is no honesty in any of us to fight for the right the generations are corrupt including you and me.So why blame politicians, after all we gave birth to them.Think again where we are heading.

It is very unfortunate to see such disgraceful incidents happening in our country. Though we boast out only the positive points that happen in corporate sector…realistically political scenario is a big zero. We need politicians like LOK satta leader……and abdul kalam. Funny part is that we have a qualification for every daman job in the country but we do not have a qualification set for entering into politics. I cannot imagine TRS leaders passing on orders or commanding to IAS officers and IPS officers…..anyhow it is a bitter fact to be accepted as After affects of tsunami created by our democratic standards. At the moment these ministers need to be punished so severely that in the future it should be like lesson to other ministers.
And also….a politician should also be treated as an employee and not as a king of the area. AP police is also so badly corrupted….all the government offices are also extremely corrupted….so this is a virus that spreads from the top level to the ground level. To bring in a drastic change and develop a fear into ministers involving into such activities…I have an idea….why not the president create a panel of educated powerful heads for every state…and give opportunity to every citizen in the state to send a complaint letter to the panel mentioning about every aspect of the incidents they face…and a thorough investigation to be done on the points mentioned and screw the ministers hard.

uuuuuph I am getting emotional….realistically no body can do anything about it….because politicians at every level think politically…no one thinks for the betterment.
chill out guys…this incident is going to become HISTORY in few days time…and life goes on
