The nationwide outrage over the police atrocity against a petty thief in Bhagalpur has forced the Bihar Government to act tough with the cops.
Following an official-level enquiry into the incident, the Nitish Kumar Government late on Thursday dismissed the two policemen (LB Singh, an assistant sub-inspector, and constable Ramchandra Rai) from service with immediate effect.
“It is against human rights and on behalf of the entire House. I wish to condemn the incident. It is not a question of apportioning blame here,” –Speaker Somnath Chatterjee

The police force doesn’t have the right to beat people so badly.Shame on them .I feel really sad to see that person.
If he snatched a chain and got caught ,he should be put in jail, but who gave them the right to hit that person like that.Only devils can do it, no human being can .Dismissing them from job is not enough , they should be punished more severely so that no other police can dare to do things like this.
it was not only the police that acted cruelly there, the people around were cruel too. why wasnt any action taken on them, they should be punished too,shouldnt they be? we beat petty theifs, we employ small children for work in our homes and dont treat them nice, we discriminate each other on the basis of caste. are we all cruel? why are we cruel,we are supposed to be the good guys.
