India trail the seven-match One-Day series against England 1-3 after losing the fourth match by three wickets.
Skipper Rahul Dravid decided to bat after winning the toss but the batsmen failed to last the full quota of 50 overs and were bowled out for only 212 runs.
England had some hiccups during the chase but the 99-run partnership between Ravinder Bopara and Stuart Broad for the eighth wicket saw them home.
