Indian national Sarabjit Singh, who is allegedly involved in four bomb blasts in Pakistan, is likely to be hanged by April 1. A Black Warrant, which is the last stage of all appeal, has reportedly been issued for the hanging of Sarabjit. The Pakistani jail authorities have received the warrant. The warrant has been issued after Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf rejected his mercy plea earlier this month.
Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjeet Singh’s sister is in Delhi to meet the Prime Minister. She spoke to CNN-IBN earlier on Sunday. “I want to appeal to Pakistan Minister for Humans Rights Mr Ansaar Burney, and Pakistani citizens and government to look into the matter again for the sake of humanity. My brother hasn’t done any of things he has been charged for. He is a victim of misidentification. To pass such a warrant against someone without any proof is killing humanity,†Dalbir said.
I have only one brother and no one else. What is the fault of my brother’s two daughters? The younger one has never seen her mother. The older sister was only two years old when their mother died. Please release my brother and let him come home
Dalbir also appealed to the citizens of India to help her through the time time. “I want to appeal to the citizens of India as well. Please support me in this difficult time. Please take some solid steps so that both Pakistan and Indian governments are compelled to release Sarabjeet,†she added.
Sarabjit was arrested on charges of spying in 1990 and was later sentenced to death by the Lahore High Court in 2003 for his alleged involvement in four bomb blasts in Lahore and Multan. Later the Pakistan Supreme court rejected his mercy petition in 2006 and upheld his death sentence.
Sarabjit, on the other hand, has been claiming that he crossed the border and entered Pakistan accidentally.

Don’t blame all Pakistan’s, I have many Pakistani friend’s they are very good human beings. I pray to God and demand Pak govt people to act like human beings, to release a human being (forget he is an Indian or other nationality)who’s family is waiting for 2 decades.

Couple of years back a pakistani cricket fan came to india to watch Indo-Pak cricket match…apearenly he lost his passport…he then plead a lot of time to Indian Govt for him to be allowed to go to pakistan..He was alledgely arrested and over a few years was found dead in his cell, as a result of this, his dead body (with lots of injury)was sent back to pakistan….

I’m a French girl and you may right if u say that it’s not my business reacting about this, but i’m always shocked when i see all this hatred between Indian and Pakistani people… of course history is history and Pakistan has quite never been democratic but as a french, i notice that India is not 100% democratic (and perfect) too, like nearly every country of the world, including mine.
I feel really sad when i see that even in french south asian communities this hatred goes on and on. Lekin khushi ki bat hai ki hamesha aisa nahi hai. Ji haan, mai ek fransisi larki hoon jo hindi (or shall i say hindustani) parhti hai, aur meri khushi hai south asians milne se, jo bhi hindustani, pakistani, bangladeshi vagairah hon.
I know that it is not the point discussed, magar mera manna hai ki hindustani aur pakistani log ek hi sanskriti se aate hain, aur isilie ve mujhe bhai bhai lagte hain. Pakistan better release him. I wish I had known of this earlier and could have mustered more support online for him to be released. Indians and that too a HINDU…a terrorist? There is no right for anyone on earth to kill a Human irrespective of the Nationality, and especially when the charges are not proved such acts further worsen the morality and relationship between both the countries.
The Indian Government should come forward and take this case and get the sentense changed on humanitarian grounds and set it as an example to give confidence to all the Indians that they are always there to support them incase of need.

Pakistan always claims to be in friendly terms with India and that they want peace, this could be an ideal chance to prove it.Our country has released so many Pakistani prisoners, there is nothing wrong in them leaving one of our citizens.Indian government must and should talk to Pakistani government and work things out.Hope some miracle happens and Sarabjit Singh comes back to his family.
I do agree what Suhas wrote, but there is always a second chance.If we hang the person then there is no difference between him and us.He may be repenting about the things that he did now and just need a chance to change.There is no harm in giving him a second chance, besides no one except Sarabjit knows if he has really committed those crimes or the Pakistan government just caught him because he is an Indian which they are really good at.
