she is a kid who missed the point completely, human greed motivates action and unfortunately we are greedy for ourselves with borders of race and religion and dominance.

Funny enough if every one has enough to be happy what would they be motivated to act or work or progress. I could just be talking crap :)

    @ Above
Not human greed brother it is Human curiosity which motivates. Completely agree with statement of borders of race and religion. We formed UN to overcome this only, she pointed out exactly how it is failing to deliver its purpose.

That means the human values are going down and down. People are busy in making money. No time to look after their parents and other relations. Then where they find time for the world? It is just selfish me me and me. Thats it people know.

Hey..Well the video is good. I felt it was some electution competition when i was in school…everyone in the room or UN or in the world know about ti…they just dont care about it….Its just that she went ahead a told it in from of all the deligates..and i dont think her speech makes much of a difference….
    she atleast tried something…

I agree with Varun. I felt that she could have put it in a more nicer way. They way she was giving that speech was bit annoying.

    Dear Shaik,
The very idea UN was formed was to control the world( I would rather say empowerish the world). Curiosity is for people who are above average, if you are speaking in gaussian terms most people are just trying to earn their meals. Unfortunatly rather fortunately nature is cruel it eliminates the weak(It could be me too) and thats how it works on the fit survive in the long term no matter how much somebody shares or be nice with others as always i could be completely wrong.

If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day if you teach him how to fish he can survive…..

Its a nice speech, a eye opener but people in the conference might have left or ignored after they left the hall. Unfortunately they are only listeners but not someone who can make difference to this world. I fear how our next generation will see this world. Greedy ppl have made solution tough and the problem is growing bigger and bigger.
Lets pray to God to forgive us for destroying planet Earth.

A well writeen Speech but the Girl failed to deliver it in the exact tone.. All the examples that she took like she meeting street kids in Brazil, she going fishing with her father when she was little etc are typical to Western type of well written speeches.

Regarding the actual content of the speech i would say that ‘yes, its a worry that we are destroying the many species etc..’ but if u give a chance to any person in Iraq they wuld tell u how the superpower nations are killing people, wiping entire races etc and on and on..(not only in Iraq but in many nations around the world) When there is no protection for Human life from humans or so called humans how can one expect protection of animal species and environment.

If the changes in the environment effects some peoples(westerner’s) lifes then only they get reminded of the values, responsibilities and etc..or atleast thats how i think it works…

But one thing is for sure, we should not destroy something which we cannot create.

That was a good speech. I hope it came from her heart directly and just not a written speech which had to be read to get attention. If it was from her heart it is good. it is a good thing to intrest u’r self in othere just than u’r own world. If it is from her heart she cud make a difference and other ppl can make a difference too, It is easy said then done.
We can make a change by just oersonally doing things around even if we don’t get all the attetion in our part of our world,Reach out when and where u r.A small help can make a big difference in one’s life.We cannot point our fingure at others when we have dust in our own eyes.We will fall at some point we need to get up each time and press forward. Her speech should have been we and not you. We can change the future. We as growing adults. A good cause will never go waste.
