Whoa!!!
After all somebody got the balls to stand up for whats right! you go IIT I mean no offense SC/STs, I dont hate you guys but you dont have any right to get into such an esteemed institution just because of your birth.
Caste system is a bitch, i agree and I do believe your forefathers have gone through a lot because of it. Please do accept my deep apologies but if you wanna milk the cow now for what your yester generations have through, I will stand up against that idea. Caste system was created long ago by same people who started Sati. Funny I dont see anybody practising Sati anymore. Whats up with that? Question yourself, are you fit enough to be in an institution like that. Ruining lives of desering students just becasue you can get a beter paying job - suck at it and furthermore ruin the country’s chance of developent is totally unacceptable. SO pull ya heads off your asses and see the world as it is. Good luck trying

i think not only in IIT and IIM no wher there should be reservations and scholorships. Scholorships should be given but should be based on their performance and not based on the castes. If a person is very much interested in studies he/she can get scholorships by getting good marks.
I have seen many SC/ST students in my college who get scholrships and enjoy with that money . And they r not bothered about their studies. They dont even need to study much they get jobs easily and promotions easily because they r SC/ST.
this reservation system is the worst system in india which should be removed.

Hey come on guys..Dont blame on SC/ST students,remember there are 8 other students as well(why dont u ppl not talking abt them(8))!!!
I wonder why ppl dont understand that we have reservation system.Some mother fuckers created caste system so rich people get richer, and poor get poorer.Why do we have lot of up & downs in india…jus coz of caste system..either we shud remove the caste system or we try to
help others(sc& st) who are slow so that they are not left far behind…
Guys shud remember,they are not less scores since they need atleast 94 percentile.they are not really under dogs,who are against reservation are making this issues i guess.

These people are shame less!!! I worked 16hrs a day to make it through IIT JEE and these fellas get a free ride.And after getting in , still they need a special treatment. Thats insanity and outrage. India is doomed!!! and unless we wipe this quota business for good and encourage merit system, we all heading for big trouble!!!

Hello All..
It is a fact tht they made into the elite institution only because of quota system.. shame on our govt tht still supports quota system..alrite.. atleast they could have performed well .. inspite of tht they blame tht they were not given special coaching.. do they think IIT as coaching centre of their own.. CBS an popular magazine rated our IIT as powerful as Harvard MIT Princeton together.. let tht equation remain the same.. and dnt bullify this quota related issues..

I think IIT’s and IIM’s should not have any reservations. Admission should be on the basis of merit. These institutions are India’s pride.
If Govt want to really help the needed, they should provide financial assistance to poor people who really deserve it. Govt should get rid of these reservations. Provide assistance on poverty basis. Shame on these students and shame on these so called National Commission for Scheduled Castes.

Certainly …I don’t understand why we still have quota system..there are so many people wanting to get in there..all the sc’s and st’s should be thrown out of IIT’s and IIM’s or any other best institute….shame on the 12 students and shame on The National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes

I was shocked by reading this. Come on … It is one of the best schools in the world. “Best” means they don’t give special coaching (it is not intermediate or X grade school). You have to work with your mind and have to put the hardwork to cope with fellow students and develop some interest in research (you are in IIT) and have to prove that you are the same as the rest of the students instead of going to roads. If you are going to the roads means you don’t have the confidence in you. that is your problem . don’t make it as national issue. every institute has right to remove the students. Out of 20 there are 12 means 8 are others…what happens if 10 to 10 ? or otherwise? would it be atleast an issue?

If students get into IIT with reservation, them scoring low is guaranteed. My support would be to IIT Delhi in this case.

I think they should get undergraduate degrees without going trough college as they have already accepted that they are inferior human beings they have nothing more to live for.
